S.I.R. Column Load Tool

J-37808 is used to simulate the electrical characteristics of the supplemental Inflatable Restraint System.

The main components of the tool are: a circuit for the inflator simulation, circuit for column simulation, and connector body for opening the shorting bar at the diagnostic energy reserve module (DERM).

J-37808 is equipped with connectors to mate the SIR connectors at the steering wheel and the base of the column.
