HPC KeKab 500 Key Cabinet Product Description
The HPC KeKab 500 is a heavy-duty, single-tag key security control system designed by HPC (a leading manufacturer in locksmith and security products) for centralized key storage and management. It provides secure storage for up to 500 keys, making it suitable for medium to large-scale applications such as offices, apartments, universities, hospitals, and large office buildings. The cabinet is constructed from durable 16-18 gauge steel for the door and 18-gauge steel for the body, ensuring long-lasting performance and resistance to tampering.
Key Features:
- Capacity and Organization: Holds 500 keys using slotted hooks with numbered white plastic key tags. Each tag features a bright, nickel-plated snap-hook capable of holding multiple keys. Includes a numbered key control booklet for tracking and an erasable lock location chart for easy organization.
- Locking Mechanism: Equipped with a standard T-handle tubular key lock (includes 2 keys). Hinges are on the left side for convenient access. Note: This model does not include a mortise cylinder; for the Keyable KeKab variant (which allows integration with existing master key systems using a 1" mortise cylinder), refer to the KEKAB-500-KK model.
- Dimensions: Approximately 25-1/4 inches high x 18 inches wide x 5-1/2 inches deep.
- Construction and Finish: Features full-length piano hinges for smooth operation and a powder-coated sand-colored finish for an attractive, durable appearance that blends into various environments. The cabinet includes two additional leaves inside for expanded hanging space beyond the door and main interior.
- Mounting: Comes complete with hardware for easy wall mounting near a desk, workstation, or wall opening.
- Additional Notes: Made in the USA. Ideal for scenarios requiring departmental or centralized key control, such as real estate, education, or business settings. Keep out of reach of children to prevent hazards.
